Standing in Solidarity (SIS)
Standing in Solidarity is an innovative leadership development program created by Restore 180 to empower young people who feel oppressed by society's rigid gender roles and expectations. Too often, young people are exposed to gender injustices in their homes, schools, and communities.
To address this issue head-on, Standing in Solidarity has been developed as a leadership development program that gives power back to those who feel oppressed by society's structures. In addition, this initiative establishes the bedrock for equal representation of genders within educational societies – an essential step toward creating lasting change.
Through this program, participants are provided with the critical skills and knowledge they need to become effective advocates for themselves and their communities. In addition to teaching valuable life-long skills.
Intergrating Arts Movement & Manifesting Expression (I.AM.ME)
I.AM.ME is an inspirational initiative that honors the power of youth in creating social justice and sustainable change through stunning photography, art, and video storytelling that will move your heart and soul. I.AM.ME amplifies the voices of young people who are often forgotten or overlooked. We steadfastly ensure young people's stories are shared, respected, amplified, and appreciated
I.AM.ME also hosts workshops and seminars that explore the power of art, storytelling, and media production in creating social justice. We invite you to join us at our next workshop for a unique opportunity to explore the power of youth and connect with like-minded individuals from your community!
Restoring Expression Aligned with Liberation (REAL)
REAL is a haven for peers to join forces and discuss restorative justice. We focus on nationwide systemic injustice that has been ignored and work in tandem to discover solutions. Using trauma-informed approaches, we can uncover these hidden injustices so they can be addressed effectively.
We provide opportunities for meaningful dialogue and understanding of these young people's complex situations through REAL. We are committed to hearing their stories, identifying successful strategies that can be implemented in a community setting, and equipping them with the necessary tools to empower themselves from within.
Participatory Defense
Participatory Defense helps people facing criminal charges and their families as they navigate the court system. It is a community-based approach to support those going through legal proceedings, providing them with access to resources, education, and advocacy.
Restore 180 offers Participatory Defense which meets weekly in our office to provide individuals and families with an opportunity to receive the support they need. We also partner with local organizations to ensure our clients receive the full services and resources. In addition, our team will work alongside them to seek justice and build better futures for individuals and their families.
By providing these programs, Restore 180 supports youth from disfranchised and marginalized communities with equal access to resources and advocacy that can help build the next generation.
